Layer & Bloom was born from a simple love for chickens, gardening, and creativity.

What started as a personal passion for backyard chicken keeping quickly grew into something more – a unique blend of nature and design. Inspired by the joys (and challenges) of raising healthy hens, we combined our interests with design and craft to create thoughtful, practical products for small-scale keepers like us.

Today, Layer & Bloom offers a curated range of premium poultry feed, nesting materials, and sustainable accessories, while also expanding into bedding for riding schools and equestrian centres.

Alongside our feed and bedding, we design and make wildlife products such as birdhouses, hedgehog houses, squirrel feeders, and bird feeders – all rooted in sustainability, functionality, and rural charm.
